The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie “Eternals” will have two post-credits scenes, and it will be one of the longest-running Marvel movies to date.
“Eternals” director Chloe Zhao told Fandango that the upcoming film is also one of the longest Marvel Cinematic Universes to date, running at 2.5 hours. And it could have been longer, she said.
- “You know, it’s ten characters, the Celestials and 7000 years old. There’s a lot going on, ”she said.
And, of course, “Eternals” will have some post-credits surprises. In fact, the film will have two post-credits scenes and both will be important to the MCU, Zhao told Fandango.
- “Yes! Don’t just stay for the first one, stay for the second too. They are just as important in weight, and both have big surprises for you,” she said.
“Eternals” recently received a PG-13 rating from the Motion Picture Association’s Rating and Rating Administration, which is common for Marvel films. However, the project received a rating for “phantasmal violence and action, some language and brief sexuality”.
- Most of the Marvel PG-13 movies receive the grade due to their mature language, violence, and darker themes. But, according to ScreenRant, this is the first time the MCU has achieved a PG-13 rating because of its sexual content.
- “While the rating itself is not surprising, the rating of ‘brief sexuality’ is remarkable considering the franchise has moved far away from overtly sexual scenes after Disney acquired the studio,” according to ScreenRant.
